Craig & Parsons has been in the same family since 1939. But we didn’t start out as a label manufacturer and supplier; we began as a small retail chemist in Sutton, Surrey.
The business did well and it wasn’t long before we expanded, first into wholesale and then into the production of the labels that were required on every medicine bottle we sold. It was a shrewd move. Craig & Parsons continued to thrive and in 1956 we relocated the family, wholesale business and label manufacturing facility from Sutton to the larger, grander setting of Henbury Manor in Kent.
This fine old house was now the centre of activities, doubling as a warehouse and label-making factory for the business whilst becoming a much-loved family home.
In 1970 we moved again, this time to Folkestone where we continued to expand from a 1,500 square foot workshop to the 12,500 square foot premises we occupy today.
Now focussed solely on labels and labelling, Craig & Parsons’ long history of steady growth and expansion has taken us from small retail chemist to becoming one of the UK’s leading label manufacturers and suppliers.
Many of the original chemists we supplied still purchase from us today, and we now manufacture and supply labels for every hospital in East Kent. This is as a testament to both our product and our customer service, as clients return not just for labels but also for labelling advice and solutions time and time again.
In 2013 we were delighted to receive FSC®-certified status in recognition of social, business and environmental good practice, and we are determined to keep up the good work.
Our mantra is simple: Get it right, first time, on time, every time. It’s served us well for more than 70 years, why change it now?
